To the cash desk!

After a long wait, the bubble has finally burst under the lights of the Vergina Theatre and amazingly it was neither of our shortest stacks - who can lay claim to no more than 10 big blinds between them - who have fallen victim.

Instead it was Charalampos Trifos who missed the money by a single place, crashing out with Jacks after being called by two opponents pre-flop.

There had been a raise and re-raise by the time it came to Trifos on the big blind, but he opted to move his 31,000 chips into the centre nonetheless and both rivals made the call.

It was checked down to the river and with the board reading 969-K-x, one caller bet 40,000 and the other called, give our bubble boy the biggest clue his pair was no good. So it proved, as both men showed a King in their hand.

We are already in the final level of Day 2 so we're expecting to return with three tables tomorrow, though there are some shorties crying out to be shipped now there's a reward in store.
