Tamaras bust

John Tamaras may have finished Day 1b with a flourish but his Day 2 is at an end before dinner after a fatal hand with Peter Horvath.

Tamaras - who is famed for beating Blackjack tables across Greece - attempted to double down holding Q♣10♣ but Horvath played the house on this occasion, sweeping in his remaining chips.

The Czech player had raised from the cut-off and Tamaras three-bet from the button, leaving himself just a small amount of chips behind.

Horvath shipped the rest of his stack to put his Greek opponent at risk and after the inevitable call, showed K♣J♣. The dealer added no further drama, with a Jack on the river improving Peter's hand and eliminating Tamaras.
