Level 12 Update

We are midway through Level 12 and we have 29 players remaining.

Some solid poker has been played and the players are understandably anxious with the payouts starting at 27.

JJ Hazan has been moved to the same table as Johnny Jensen and is now charging along with 120k+ whilst Johnny is down to around 100k

Big Hand just as we speak with Petr Jelinek holding QQ vs JJ and it holds, sending another player to the rail and Petr back up to around 150k

Announcement Regarding End Of Play For Day 1

The tournament director has just announced that the end of play for Day 1 will be at either 27 players or at the end of Level 14

We have 35 players remaining as we speak and the action has slowed to a crawl.

27 players will be paid and that must be on the minds of the lower stacks, not to mention the leaderboard points for the bigger stacks.

Massive Hand for Johnny Jensen

Johnny Jensen has just doubled through to a massive 140k+.

Johnny held Pocket 2's and raised pre flop to be called by Jozsef Hegyi with Pocket Aces!

The dealer flops Johnny a massive 10 8 2 board and the money goes in, with the unlucky Jozsef missing the turn and river to lose most of his chips and leaves him with just 9k remaining.

A cruel blow for Jozsef but Johnny's Danish friends behind him are delighted, as is the man himself.

Johnny Jensen is now on 142k
Jozsef Hegyi left with 9k

EDIT: Jozsef is now out after shoving his chips a few hands later, UL GG Jozsef

Level 10 Update - 45 players remain

The action is non stop and players are busting left right and centre here, we're currently down to just 45 runners.

Georges Tohme our London winner has exited in 56th when he shoved his shortish stack in with 88 to get a call off Q10, with a 10 hitting the turn. Unlucky Georges, I'm sure we will see you again in Madrid!

David Buckle who was going so well on 51k lost 2 big pots and exited just before the break at the end of level 9.

Welcome Back to Prague!

We're back in action again with a full compliment of players. After the split dinner breaks we return to the event with just 103 players remaining.

Play has been steady all day but with the ever increasing blinds and the almost 5 hours of play so far, it's starting to loosen up a little!

There have been mixed emotions for some of the players today who have been up and down like yo-yo's and non more so than our UK Players, who have really toiled with the aggressive play of the European Players.

Since the last update we have lost Richard Scott, his pocket Kings were cracked by QJ diamonds when the money went in on the flop of 8 3 2 with two diamonds on show. The other player re-raised all in and Rich snap called only to see the dreaded diamond appear on the turn.

95 Players remain
Level 8
Blinds are 400/800 with Ante of 100
