PPT Vienna on YouTube

If you were at the ParadisePoker Tour Vienna in January you might have spotted our cameras around, and if not, check out the resulting video to see what you missed!

For PPT novices, the footage gives a brief overview of what the medium stakes event is all about before reliving Gabor Skrinyar's victory in the Austrian captial's Concord Card Casino.

Card Casino counts down to PPT return

The ParadisePoker Tour is set to return to the Prague from March 2nd-6th for the fourth leg of Season Two and I hope you're as excited as we are!

February 2010 saw the then fledgling PPT follow up its debut in London by dragging in 252 players for the Main Event at the Card Casino, and it was native David Huspeka who emerged the victor.

This year’s festival, which takes place at the same venue, will seek to continue the upward curve on the back of record fields at both the London and Vienna legs.

As with all Season Two Main Events, the medium buy-in €500+50 competition has a guaranteed prize pool of €125,000. Four side events will then compliment the feature tournament, including Deep-Stack Turbo, Pot-Limit Omaha and 6-Max formats, so there is plenty of opportunity to win a share of the prizes in Prague!

Even those who can’t make it to the Czech capital can still take part courtesy of our Fantasy Poker promotion (see tab to left), which is offering to give away a €1,100 package to the next leg in Madrid.

PPT Prague Schedule

Wednesday, March 2nd

Thursday, March 3rd

PPT Madrid makes its move

Cracked Aces end Paradise hopes at GPT

Stelios Amanatidis led the ParadisePoker charge at the Greek Poker Tour Main Event this weekend, but a classic bad beat ended his chances of taking home the €40,390 top prize.

As the only ParadisePoker qualifier to make Day Three of the €100,000 Guaranteed Event, the hopes were resting firmly on his shoulders as the final two tables shuffled up in the Concord Card Casino, Vienna.

There was no waiting around for Stelios, as his 285,000 remaining chips were shipped into the centre holding AA on the very first hand of the day.

Just as he looked set to join the chip leaders, however, Lady Luck intervened to send him to the rail, as his rival's JJ caught a set.

Things had looked bright for the ParadisePoker qualifiers early on, with eight amongst them negotiating the GPT record 327-strong field into Day Two, including Slovakian Matej Zavacky who was third in chips.

He was joined by fellow qualifiers Vasileios Kavvetas, Stylianos Pantelakis, Dimitris Georgiadis (all Greece), Zoltan Kapitany (Hungary), Christou Glafkos (Cyprus) and Pedro Murillo (Spain).

Congratulations to all the ParadisePoker qualifiers who cashed at the GPT, and hopefully we'll see you all in the PPT Prague in March!
