Simko doubles up

The one man seemingly able to break the hoodoo Piotr Sowinski has held over this final table is Milan Simko, as the Czech just doubled his stack courtesy of the chip leader.

Sowinski had raised from the button and Simko responded with a shove. After brief thought, the Pole called with A♠J♠ and found himself racing against his rival's 8♣8♥.

The board ran 7♥10♣3♣-Q♣-4♠ and Piotr suffered what has felt like a rare setback.

UPDATE - It seems it's catching, as Nat Jarmonthavat just managed to double his short stack too. The Dane has been quiet for much of the final table, but he put his tournament life at risk with A6♥ and a turn Ace helped him get back on track care of Sowinski.
