Poles apart, Czakon finishes 6th

The luck turned on Czakon
While Piotr Sowinski continues to grow his stack, compatriot Jakub Czakon has endured a far tougher spell in the last hour - eventually succumbing his short stack to finish in 6th.

In truth he had lost two crucial hands some time ago yet still hadn't found his moment until a short time ago, when he raised all but 1,000 of his 300,000 stack pre-flop.

Ertan Aldikacti must have appreciated the humour as he just made the call, before both players watched the dealer deliver an AK8 flop.

Jakub tossed his final chip into the centre and surprisingly enough, 'Baba' called. He might have called a bigger bet still, given he had A♦Q♦ and the pocket fives of Czakon were defeated. The Pole wins €7,605.

Sowinski meanwhile has been getting the better of both Ertan Aldikacti and Milan Simko in recent hands, out kicking the latter in once hand and catching a middle pair that had the former cursing his hot deck.

Prize Pool reminder: 1st - €33,005; 2nd - €20,090; 3rd - €13,346; 4th - €10,906; 5th - €9,184.
