Damian doubles up

Porebski slow-played his Kings full to double up
Comfortably the most popular Fantasy Poker pick still battling it out in the Main Event is Damian Porebski and his backers will be delighted to hear he just doubled his stack to 165,000.

Now some 40,000 ahead of the average, the quiet Pole looks like have a great shot at the money - and with it a share of the Fantasy Poker spoils - having slow-played a monster hand to perfection.

Porebski was the pre-flop raiser but was called by a player in late position and they went to the K♣8♥10♦ flop heads-up.

Damian c-bet for around 7,000 into a 15,000 pot and earned another call, before check-calling the 10♣ on the turn. The river was a blank 2 ♥ and the hero of this tale checked once more.

That prompted a shove from his opponent and even when Poresbski snap-called with KK, there was no sign of jubilation, no cry of delight; little more than a wry smile.

The 12 Fantasy Poker entrants who picked him might allow themselves a little more celebration.
