Jan-Peter roller coaster continues

Vincent Gomez
It's not exactly been a quiet couple of days for poker publisher Jan-Peter Jachtmann, but at least the German  will have plenty of stories to tell after he was involved in another huge hand.

He had raised from late position and been called by Vincent Gomez in the blinds when the flop fell 7♦6♥Q♠. Jan-Peter led out and was check-raised by his opponent, but made the call anyway.

The turn was 6♣ and the unknown rival shipped his remaining 105,000 into the centre and after some thought, Jachtmann made the hero call with Q♥9♥.

It proved to be a good decision as his rival tabled A♣7♣ - but a river 7 was greeted by whoops and cheers from Gomez, as 150,000 chips were pushed his way.

Elsewhere Rachid Waret chipped up when he turned a set of sixes and took down a chunky pot. He is now up to around 110,000, which roughly equates to the average stack.
