Strolling by Rob Perelman's table, I noticed that he and another player had made it to the turn of a 3s Kd 8c Kc board. There was barely 1,500 in the pot, Perelman's opponent was checking, and I strolled on, thinking that this was not going to turn into a bloggable hand.
But lo! Having made it all the way across the room, spun on my heel and strolling back past Perelman's table again, the pot now contained 4,500 and there was more than 10,000 in front of Perelman's opponent - at least a three-bet, by my reckoning, and quite possibly a four or five-bet.
Perelman gave it some very serious thought - he had just 16,000 left in front of him - but eventually he decided to give it up. Disappointing.
