Not So Haigh

Robert Haigh spent much of the early part of today building up a pretty decent stack - and he's just now gone and lost a chunk of it back.

The board read Qd 3c 4s Kh when I got there and it looked as though Haigh had checked from the small blind position. His opponent on the button bet 5,000, and after a short pause Haigh made the call.

The river was the 2h and again, Haigh checked. His button opponent gave him a suspicious look and spent a moment or two considering his options before deciding to bet - this time to the tune of 9,800. There followed a long spell in the tank for Haigh, but eventually, somewhat disappointingly from a blogger's point of view, he folded.

Haigh rolled his eyes and gazed around the room, but nothing he found there could change the fact that he is back down to 57,000, a little below the 64,000 average.

Ninety three players remain.
