An emotional roller coaster for Gabor Bank as we went all in and got a call from Piotr Jaczewski.1) Joy!
Jaczewski: Ad Qh
Bank: Qc Qd, well ahead
2) Heartbreak.
The flop came down 4c 5d 3d... and then the 2s turn completed Jaczewski's straight. Things were not looking good for Bank, and he prepared to leave.
3) Sudden delight!
The river was a miracle Ac, chopping the pot. Bank sat back down to his still precarious 30,000 stack and high-fived Jaczewski across the table. Jaczewski, on 90,000, seemed fine with it all - although his girlfriend, now banished from his lap owing to space restrictions and instead positioned in the corner across from Jaczewski, didn't look happy at all.
