I got there to find Andreas Zauner and his neighbour looking down at an 8c 6s 2s 4h board. Mr. Neighbour bet out 9,500, only to find Zauner raising to what looked like 22,000. Mr. Neighbour now three-bet to around 40,000, and Zauner quickly called.
The river was the Js and this time Mr. Neighbour tanked up for some time. Eventually he bet out 45,000, but the ruse didn't work - Zauner called and they went to showdown.
Showdown took a little while as neither player wanted to show first. Finally Mr. Neighbour turned his cards over - a bluffy Ad Td - and Zauner banged the table in celebration. He flipped lowly pocket threes, and scooped the massive pot.
After that, Zauner is on over 400,000. His hands were still shaking as he finished stacking up his chips...
