The cries of, "Seat open!" - curiously always in English, although most everything else seems to be conducted in German - are now reverberating around the room like echoes in a huge, sad cave.
Most recently we witnessed the saddest of sad exits - kings v. aces. The gentleman with the kings - one Hans Mustafa Kerseboun - managed to get as far as the turn before getting his whole stack in. And fair enough - it was a raggy board with not much of anything to be afraid of on it. But Ulrike Schroeder was holding the only pocket pair he didn't want to see, and after a brief discussion in German, probably concerning how unlucky he'd been to find himself in that spot, Kerseboun was gone. Schroeder is sitting very comfortably on around 45,000 after that.
We're down to 262 players now, and we fully expect the bustouts just to keep coming thicker and faster from here on in.
