Top pair make Day 3

Team Paradise will be back at the Rio for Day 3 tomorrow after both David Pishvafar and Pham Kim-Phuc survived the day.

ParadisePoker Tour regular Pishvafar (pictured) entered the day with a short stack that stood just 8,600 chips high, but has steadily built his tower since the bubble burst and is now comfortably ahead of the average.

The German's measured approach is very much in the image of mentor Robert Haigh and has proved immensely effective as he ended with 487,000 chips.

David's style is in contrast to the super-aggressive talents of Pham, who has been on a roller coaster ride in WSOP #32.

The high stakes pro has been as short as 35,000 chips when the average was over 100,000 and even flirted with the chip lead at one stage, but he takes just 163,000 to Day 3 with WSOP bracelet hopes still alive.

35 players remain in the hunt and will face 6,000/12,000 blinds plus a 2,000 chip ante on Day 3's first deal. The average stack meanwhile, is 363,600.

A full Fantasy Poker update will be live on the blog before play resumes at 22.30 BST and our live coverage continues.
