Garland's run ended by legend

Tom Garland left the WSOP $1500 NL Hold'em with head held high after being eliminated by poker legend TJ Cloutier.

The hall-of-famer had been on table 375 since the start of Day 2, where Tom had been struggling to find the right moment to move.

Having made the money, he was down to around three big blinds by the time he shoved with A5, only to find himself in a three-way all-in vs one villain's K10 and Cloutier's 6s.

The 7-2-3 flop offered little but a 6 on the turn gave the Brit some hope despite TJ making his set, but a river blank couldn't save him. Tom cashes for $3,054 in 242nd.

Out a few moments earlier was Udo Seepe, the German seeing his JJ beaten by AK after a pre-flop all-in, and he cut a frustrated figure despite winning $2,786 for 260th place.

Also hitting the rail was ParadisePoker Spanish poker school director Fernando Martin, his 77 getting outdrawn by pocket deuces after another pre-flop all-in.
