The PP blog must level with you folks, we'd much rather be jostling for chips in the midst of the action than sitting behind the keyboard - but then you wouldn't know how the action was unfolding beyond our table.
One man fortunate enough to have combined his poker prowess with a flair for writing is Alexander Kraiczy, a German player/blogger we first bumped into at the live satellite last night.
Unfortunately Alexander missed out on a cheap seat in today's tournament after running his big stack into the only player who could bust him, but having cashed in Wednesday's €100+10 side event, he remains in confident mood.
That €400 score for an 8th-place finish made a great start to the story of his time in Barcelona, but only the big prizes in the Main Event would make his blog the epic tale he craves.
"I've played in a lot of live tournaments, like the WSOP, WSOP Circuit Events, the EPT - where I was five places away from the money, so I've been close to a big score.
"I like the smaller events too and have played in the WASOP before, which is a Belgian event, and this is my first time at the ParadisePoker Tour."
Let's hope his Main Event is worth writing about - good luck!
