Toni Merivuori and Marek Viscak have been part of PPT history since the very start, but neither will play any further part in the Madrid 2011 leg after losing out in their battle for the money.
Both men were on the final table back in PPT London 2009; Viscak went on to finish second and Merivuori would win the inaugural Tour League despite his Czech rival's impressive victory in Bulgaria later that season.
They looked in good shape to make more history overnight, having brought top 15 stacks to Day 2 at the Gran Casino, but their night ended a short time ago.
Toni was eliminated after his 99 was trumped by AQ in a classic race to hand him a 43rd-place finish, with Viscak and overnight chip leader Fernando Del Corral Escribano out in 44th and 45th respectively.
