Thomas Merved is one of the more popular Fantasy Poker picks here in Madrid and it's little wonder when you consider his key role in our last winning team.
Prague's FP victor suunnshine owed much of her victory to the 19th-place finish of the Dane (as well as Tomáš Straka's deep run) and if his hot start is anything to go by in Spain, he could be in the thick of the action again.
Merved has twice seen Aces and has committed his stack on both occasions, losing the first when the villain spiked a river King to make a set.
It seems Lady Luck had been in apologetic mood for that last gasp King, however, delivering quads on the flop on the second occasion - before runner runner flush cards for his opponent - to ensure all the chips were shipped in his direction.
That left Merved on around 23k at the last break, with the average stack standing at 19,500. Anyone fancy Thomas to go all the way this time?
