Piotr Gajdecki (pictured recounting the hand to a Polish blogger) has become the first player to break through the 300,000-chip barrier. He took a huge pot off Jorge Pardo after the latter made an interesting river bet.There was over 150,000 chips in the middle and the board read 2sKd4d9dJd. Pardo was first to act from early position and smiled, shrugged and threw in 25,000. Gajdecki looked at him and made the call.
Pardo tabled QcQs for a pair of queens, losing out to the Pole's flush with 7d7s. Pardo sat and shook his head, leading us to believe he didn't see the four diamonds on the board.
