A full house!

There are so many PPT players in the Concord Card Casino today that the wi-fi internet connection has been overloaded!

It's a record-breaking field that not only hit the 300 cap, but had at least 40 players eagerly anticipating some early exits as they sit on the waiting list.

This has caused some technical issues but your PPT blogger is the determined type, however, so having managed to find the one laptop that will magically connect, we can bring you the remaining players from which to choose your fantasy poker team.

The clock starts ticking on entries now, with 19.00 CET the deadline to post your teams including full player names plus your ParadisePoker username.

Fantasy poker lands at Concord

So that's the final Concord flying/take-off/landing pun - for now at least - but there's nothing cliche about a little fantasy poker!

We had a great response to the game debut in London and we're hoping to get even bigger here in Austria, as word spreads that you can win a €1,100 prize package to Prague in March, without facing a single blind raise, three-bet or all-in!

All you have to do is pick three players from the field today and if they finish in the top 50, they score points towards your total. The blog reader with the highest score by the time our Vienna champion is crowned, will be our second fantasy poker winner.

In London is was keen follower Susanne Jensen who cheered her team to victory, as Ronnie Espensen and Angelo Lima both made deep runs to win her seat here in Austria. A delighted Susanne has already entered January's competition and explained her reasoning to the PPT blog.

Dvinyard Johnny (My Son) after 2 not so good paradise poker tours I think he will do an nobel comeback on this tour. He is beating hot  knap så gode tours på paradisepoker tror jeg på et comeback han er fræk i beatet

"My team this time around will be include my son [and Paradise Poker pro] Johnny Jensen, because after two events that haven't gone so well, I think he'll make a comeback in Vienna.

"I've also picked Ronnie Espensen again because he's a brilliant player who's had some great results already on Season Two of the ParadisePoker Tour. He needs to defend his lead at the top of the PPT League and if he avoids any early bad beats, I think he'll go deep this weekend.

"Finally I've picked a Polish player who could, and might, go all the way and win it. I know I should probably be part of my team but I've been running bad in tours these days, so I will have to leave myself out!"

Below is the list of qualifiers we have so far. There will be a full list published on the PPT blog later on and there will be at least one hour to pick your team from the complete list.

However, if you want to get in early, you can enter now! Just remember to include the full name of the players you wish to pick as well as your ParadisePoker username. Good luck!

PPT lifts off at Concord Card Casino

The €125,000 Main Event is looming but the ParadisePoker Tour is already underway at the Concord Card Casino, with good turnouts for both Wednesday’s Super Satellite and Thursday’s Side Event.

Over 160 runners took their seat in the €100 No Limit Hold’em MTT, making for a whopping €16,200 prize pool that will line a few pockets before the end of the evening.

Thirteen names have been also added to tomorrow’s showcase tournament on the back of the qualifying event held last night.

The infamous number may be unlucky for some, but that merry bunch are the last entrants to dodge the full €500+€50 buy-in! Nice work folks.

Friday sees the start of the Main Event at 5pm, but be sure to log on to the PPT blog in the build up to sample the atmosphere, pre-tournament banter and of course, fantasy poker.

Ronnie (not Paulo!) at the peak

With two legs now behind us in Season Two of the ParadisePoker Tour, one man has edged ahead of the competition in the PPT League after making deep runs in both events.

Ronnie Espensen (pictured) cashed in both Vilamoura and London, finishing 17th down in the Algarve and again just missing the final table at the Fox Poker Club in November. His consolation prize however, has been over €3,700 in prize money and the points that have seen him take pole position in the race for the €10,000 cheque.

Portuguese player Paulo Calado had been previously reported as Tour League top dog, but it is with apologies that the PPT blog has to correct this.

Paulo is in fact second after following up his final table appearance in Vilamoura by narrowly missing out on Day Two in London, but his top 50 finish was enough to move him into second place.

The winner also secures entry into all Season Three events, while the rest of the top five finishers are also set to be rewarded in July. Check out the latest standings below:

Position - Name - Points
1. Ronnie Espensen - 71
2. Paulo Calado - 56
3. Sérgio Almeida - 50
3. Christos Xanthopoulous - 50
5. Hugo Almeida - 49
5. Luis Rodrigues - 49
7. Rene Knapp - 48
7. Peter Csecsetka - 48
9. Jim Reid - 47
10. Carlos Oliveira - 46
